Compost is the essential component to a healthy, organic garden. It provides plants with nutrients, retains water, prevents erosion, and reduces waste.
This workshop will cover the basics of how compost is made and what easy, affordable materials are needed to create a healthy compost pile. After this workshop, you will know how to grow your own compost crops, build a healthy compost pile from kitchen scraps and yard waste, have a worm bin and even start a composting program at your place of work or in your community.
